NJACAC Annual Fall College Admission Workshop Panel

Higher education and college admissions are undergoing significant change, creating new challenges and opportunities for colleges, universities, students, and school counselors. Please join our panel as we examine the key trends shaping the admissions landscape and explore what these changes mean for students and the professionals who advise them.

Panelists will discuss the growing influence of artificial intelligence in college admissions, applications, and education, as well as the evolving role of standardized testing and extracurricular activities in evaluating applicants. The conversation will also address the impact of recent Supreme Court decisions on admissions and student access and how institutions are adapting their recruitment and enrollment strategies.

Finally, the panel will examine the broader state of higher education, including demographic decline, reductions in federal funding, affordability concerns, and increasing questions about the value of a college degree.
